Please Note: The weather will be anywhere between 30 in the day to 5 below at night (excluding wind chill factors) 

Although every night we will be in well-heated lodges and cabins we will be,

  • Hunting for the northern lights, which means we will be outdoors for sometime at below zero temp.
  • BBQing nightly (right outside the cabin).
  • Outdoor bonfires and kumzitz under the billion star studded sky. 

…. therefore, the key is to dress in layers – that you can put on or take off as needed.

    1. Comfortable and warm active clothing; NO cotton. (Preferably layered… ie. sweatshirt over flannel shirt over thermal shirt and pants….)
    2. Wool socks
    3. Undergarments- long thermal as well.
    4. Hand and foot warmers (if you need).
    5. Siddur, Talis & Tefillin.
    6. Personal hygiene, teeth hygiene, (the lodge has towels, soap and shampoo).
    7. Warm sweatshirt, sleeping and/ or lounge clothing and footwear for lodge.
    8. Bathing suit, robe and crocs for hot tub and sauna.
    9. Goggles for a Snocross helmet (ski googles that are on the smaller side, will work, preferably not dark lenses. Also if you have, bring 2 goggles).

  • 5:30 AM – Airport Gear Distribution (Everyone MUST be there ON-TIME!)
  • 6:48 AM – Netz
  • 7:30 AM – Flight to Anchorage, Ak
  • 2:30 PM – Land in Anchorage
  • 3:00 PM – Van Pickup
  • 3:30 PM – Extreme gear distribution
  • 4:15 PM – Travel to Big Lake, Ak 
  • 5:30 PM – Arrive at Lodge
  • 6:00 PM – Mincha & Supper
  • 8:30 PM – Bonfire & Hot tub 
  • 8:33 PM – Shkia
  • 10:00 PM – Maariv

Monday, March 11

  • 7:24 AM – Sunrise (Shma- 10:43)
  • 7:30 AM – Shachris
  • 8:30 AM – Breakfast
  • 9:30 AM – Drive to Nelchina Trail
  • 9:40 AM – Laining at Chabad
  • 10:45 AM – Arrive at trailhead
  • 11:00 AM – Snowmachine instruction, gear distribution & terrain briefing
  • 12:00 PM – Leave to Glacier
  • 3:00 PM – Lunch at Glacier
  • 6:00 PM – Back to Lodge
  • 7:00 PM – Mincha & BBQ 
  • 8:30 PM – Bonfire & Kumzitz
  • 10:00 PM – Hot tub
  • 12:00 AM – Northern Lights hunt

Tuesday, March 12

  • 8:00 AM – Wake-up
  • 8:45 AM – Shachris
  • 9:30 AM – Breakfast
  • 10:30 AM – Leave for Dog Sledding
  • 11:00 AM – Arrive at Dream Sleds
  • 1:00 PM – Lunch
  • 2:30 PM – Leave to ice-fishing
  • 3:00 PM – Lake Louise
  • 5:00 PM – Fresh trout BBQ!
  • 7:00 PM – Arrive back at Lodge
  • 10:00 PM – BBQ/ Hot tub
  • 11:00 PM – Bonfire/ Kumzitz
  • 12:00 AM – Northern Lights hunt

Wednesday, March 13

  • 7:45 AM – Wake-up
  • 8:15 AM – Shachris
  • 9:00 AM – Breakfast
  • 9:45 AM – Pack-up
  • 10:30 AM – Leave for Talkeetna
  • 11:00 AM – Arrive at Talkeetna Airport
  • 1:00 PM – Flight to Denali
  • 2:00 PM – Glacier Landing
  • 3:00 PM – Back to Lodge
  • 4:00 PM – Arrive at Lodge
  • 4:30 PM – BBQ 
  • 6:00 PM – Pack out
  • 7:30 PM – Leave to Airport 
  • 9:00 PM – Drop off gear 
  • 9:45 PM – Arrive at airport
  • 11:55 PM – Flight to NYC

Thursday, March 14
